JIVE ON MONDAYS
Most weeks from 7.30 to 9.00
Check dates of opening
In addition to our Caversham class we now offer a more central location.
Learn American Jive, often described as Rock ‘n’ Roll dancing. It was super-cool in the age of Elvis, it had a huge revival later in the 20th century and just keeps going strong because it’s such fun. We will teach you how to stay cool when the rhythm is hot and how to be a flash cat when the music is really jumpin'.
Most weeks (see below) on Monday evenings in central Reading at St Luke’s Parish Hall, Erleigh Road RG1 5LR (near the Royal Berks Hospital and Palmer Park).
These Jive classes offer 2 levels, catering for absolute beginners and improvers, with the second class being the more stretching one.
Each week starts with a beginners Level 1 class from 7.15 to 8.15 pm.
Level 2 classes for more experienced dancers are from 8.15 to 8.45.
Prices: £8 each week which covers both classes. Pay cash on the night. Ask us for our introductory offers.
Beginners are most welcome to join us. Although every 4 weeks we recommend a start date you may join us on any week. Each week starts with the very basic content for beginners and revision which means that you can miss weeks and catch-up later.
In Level 2 classes we spend some time adding some intermediate ideas to stretch this who have been attending for a while.
All class dates are shown in Our Calendar.
Up-coming dates already published for this class are:
7, 14, 28, May;
4, 11 June.
